Gyedu-Blay Ambolley Shares His Story On The Journey Show

Legendary highlife musician Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has shared his story of how he climbed the ladder of success from a young Takoradi boy to a Global icon in highlife music.

Mr. Ambolley told his story of how he had to choose from several career options at a very tender age. According to him, even at a very early age, He knew that music was his God-given talent.

The 74-year-old musician was of the assertion that he is the first person to do rap music on tape.

I started rap music in 1973, there was a rap band that came up around that time in 1974 but I started in 1973, which means that I was the first person to do rap music on tape. He said on the Journey Show on Adom TV
